Atlantic Rowing Race 2009
Jim Moonie and Roger Norris are taking part in the 2009 Atlantic Rowing Race. We'll be keeping track of their progress as they begin their training, the battle for sponsors, and their kit preparation over the next couple of years. We'll also be staying close at hand for the moment it dawns on them that they're going to be rowing 2,500 nautical miles across the Atlantic Ocean in a small boat.
Check back soon for the first of our installments - hopefully a little bit about each of them and their reasons for embarking on this particular escapade, as well as some further details on what they're expecting from the race...
Also check out their site at www.followthepeagreenboat.com, or by clicking here. Also, be sure to go to their fundraising site at http://www.justgiving.com/peagreenboat2, or, again, by clicking here.

A slightly precarious looking angle for a boat

Whales - apparently there are some of these in the Atlantic Ocean, and competitors sometimes see them
