Destination
The destination was Liverpoolland, on the North Eastern coast of Greenland. East Greenland or the "backside" as Greenlanders sometimes refer to it, is one of the greatest wilderness areas in the world with endless numbers of fjords, mountains, glaciers, valleys and lakes. Scoresby Sound, by Constable Point is the largest fjord in the world. The highest peaks in Liverpoolland are Krosbjerg at 1400m, and Tvillingerne at 1430m. Whilst the peaks are not particularly tall, there is a wealth of climbing in the area, including numerous unclimbed peaks and routes, with the climbing largely alpine in style – exposed and moderately technical.

Objectives
Prior to going, the team highlighted a number of specific objectives for the expedition. These included 3 first ascents by new routes on previously climbed peaks, and a first ascent of an unclimbed peak.
The team
Jim, Tom and Chris. Between them they've climbed pretty extensively, across the Alps, Pyrenees, the Himalaya, Cordillera Blanca and both Iceland and Greenland in the past. Dartmoor, North Wales and the Avon Gorge provide climbing venues closer to home.
