The Highlands Run Course
What a way to finish an event. The run takes the dramatic road around this exposed peninsula of Wester Ross with great views of the Cuillins on the Isle of Skye and culminates in an ascent of the Pass of the Cattle which, at 625m (2035 ft), is one of the highest roads in Scotland.
The 35 mile route requires almost zero navigation. From T2 at Kenmore take the coastal road to Applecross (17.1 miles) where you turn left and ascend the Pass of the Cattle. Join the main road after 28.6 miles, where you will turn right (signposted to Lochcarron), then arrive at the finish in Lochcarron after 35 miles.
