The Highlands Swim Course
The event starts with a 3.5 mile swim in Loch Morar. The water is clear, but cold, so a wetsuit is mandatory.

The format is simple. There are four islands in the Loch, and a course around them (as shown below) is approximately 3.5 miles. There will be kayaks on the water to lead the way and support those at the back, as well as at least one motorboat in case anyone needs to be taken out of the water.
The following map shows how to get to the start. Take the A830 from Fort William to Mallaig, and at Morar turn right following signs to Loch Morar. The small road around the edge of the water leads to the beach start.
