2009
Plans still to be finalised in many cases, but at the moment, plans are looking a little something like this:
La Marmotte - we'll be back for more, and this time taking reinforcements
Fred Whitton - a new one for 09, which comes highly recommended
Devizes to Westminster Kayak - need to know how to kayak, I hear you cry..not a problem, as long as you've got a healthy dose of stick-at-it-ness (we hope)
Swiss Alpine Ultra Marathon - been before, but this time it's the long one...
Marrakech Marathon - looks suitably small and welcoming, and Easyjet fly there..
2008
A big year...Some old favourites, and some new contenders, with a slight MTB theme coming through...
Monsterman Winter Duathlon Series (continued)
SuperTravessia - TransPortugal MTB stage race - Ross broke his bike a lot
La Marmotte - great fun, Chris broke himself a bit
L'Etape du Tour - Rob took on some rainy mountains..
Hit the North - 12hr endurance MTB race up north, extremely muddy...
Elbaman - excellent event, quite a few hills, and a very pleasant island
Relentless - 12hr endurance MTB race
New York Marathon - Ed yomped round the Big Apple
2007
Our race calendar turned out something a little bit like this:
Monsterman Winter Duathlon Series (continued)
Vasaloppet (Swedish Cross-Country Ski Race - if you're going to take up xc-skiing, you may as well have something to aim for...)
Vatternrundan - (180mile Swedish bike race - like nothing you've seen, and probably like nothing you'll do)
Vansbrosimningen - (Longdistance swimming race in Sweden - incredible, if you want validation of the human spirit, you have to do this race)
Norseman Extreme Tri - (back for more, with our team of intrepid triathletes - Ginge flying the flag - a lot wetter, and a bit longer, than the year before...)
Cologne226 IronDistance - (very well organised, unsurprisingly, but very flat)
Lidingoloppet - (20mile Swedish XC running race - muddy, but oh-so-much fun)
Cornish Marathon - (a more friendly or enjoyable (or wet) marathon you'll struggle to find)
2006
You might have been lucky enough to see Team Accelerace proudly represented at any of the following events:
Norseman Extreme Tri (lovely weather, grand day out, one of our favourites)
Helvellyn Triathlon (not anywhere near as quick as the year before - seems 4 hours sleep in the back of a car not the best preparation..)
Snowdonia Marathon (a jolly little jaunt in the pouring rain)
KIMM
Monsterman Winter Duathlon Series (Rob doing us proud)
