Jim is the 'Grandaddy' (Tom's description) of the Accelerace Climbing Team. Jim is a big fan of vertical pursuits, and is happiest when surrounded by mountains. Appreciating the inherent danger of such extreme surroundings, he is usually found wearing a particularly striking orange jacket, to better identify himself to passing rescue helicopters.
Having relocated to the outdoor playground that is New Zealand, as Team Accelerace's official Antipodean envoy, Jim appears to now be discovering how to capsize a lot in white water - bizarre, but there you have it.
