The Accelerace Extreme Triathlon 2006 took place on Saturday the 2nd September. We promised it would be extreme, but the Dartmoor weather contributed to make this one particularly epic event - check the event pages to see full results and photos (now available).
A huge thank you to all competitors and marshals for doing so well, especially given the adverse conditions.
Well done to all who took part in The Accelerace Extreme Triathlon 2006! The weather forced us to curtail the event and turn it into a duathlon, but hopefully everyone enjoyed the swim and bike.
Nick Kinsey won overall with a very impressive 3:59:00, with Sabrina Verjee winning the women's event. In the Varsity competition Cambridge won the overall trophy, whilst Oxford edged the men's competition. A huge congratulations to all competitors, especially given the conditions.
