For a complete bike route click here

- Great Haldon Forest - The competitors will have completed the first major climb on the route, from Starcross to the top of Haldon Hill. At this point they will turn left and descend steeply into Chudleigh. There is plenty of parking here because it is a popular mountain biking area.

There are plenty of excellent places across the top of the moor to see the competitors. The best are probably

- The Warren House Inn (B3212) - Almost the highest point on the bike course, they will have worked hard over the preceding miles to reach here.

- Postbridge (B3212) - Plenty of parking, the competitors will come through here fast.

- Dartmeet - Support them on the final climb of the course

- New Bridge is the 54 mile mark on the bike route and both the 4 and 10 mile point on the run. There is a large car park, toilets and also the first drinks station. Take care crossing the narrow bridge.

- Bell Tor Corner is the highest point of the run course. A car park and spectacular views. The run route can be viewed here

Important safety matters
  • Please be conscientious to other road users when supporting the triathlon.
  • Make sure to park only where there is an appropriate place and not where you are likely to bring danger to the competitors or other cars.
  • Do not stand in the road.
  • The weather on Dartmoor can change within minutes. It could be bright sunshine on one part of the course, and pouring with rain in another. Please make sure you have appropriate clothing and be sure to drive with care if the weather turns bad.
  • Do not attempt to hand things to the competitors whilst they are moving.
  • Dartmoor is home to many ponies, sheep, horses and cows. They roam relatively freely across the moor and this often brings them into contact with the roads. It is likely that you will encounter them so please drive slowly (and avoid feeding them) if they are near the road. As the signs say "Please drive with Moor care".
  • Dartmoor is a beautiful place, as you will see. Please leave no litter and do not park on the grasses or the verges. There are plenty of small car parks to wait in.
